Ellis
Wednesday, June 21st

Oooh, la la...I received an invitation to attend an invite-only, underground "women who love women" Pride party at a swanky nightclub. Though my week is jammed packed, I must squeeze Ellis in because the event is reminiscent of my nightlife experience in the 90s, attending vinyl hip hop parties behind unmarked doors in the Meatpacking District when the MPD was a low-key locals' neighborhood lined with LGBTQ diners and bars, tiny bistros, and a spattering of clubs dedicated to music loving dancing queens, instead of corporate companies and herds of tourists.

Kiehl's We Are Proud
Thursday, June 28th

Kiehl's reached out to select bloggers and influencers to attend an invite-only Pride event featuring a special performance by Tegan and Sara and a music set by the Misshapes. I'm going cuz....Umm.... Tegan and Sara...music...FEMME PRODUCTS...and also because a special donation will be presented to the Tegan and Sara Foundation, Hetrick-Martin Institute, Ali Forney Center, and NYC's LGBT Community Center. (The image presented here is a non-transferrable invite. You must be on the list to attend. I'll Instastory it for you on @dapperQ)

Youth Pop Up Fashion Show
Saturday, June 24

I am proud to announce that I am working with Target on a Pride campaign to produce a dapperQ young adult pop up fashion show for NYC Pride's official inaugural Youth Pride! The event will take place at 14th Street Part (on 14th Street at the West Side Highway) on Saturday, June 24th from 11am-6pm and is free to the public. Youth and family-centered activities will include the pop-up show, a dapperQ "Drop It Like It's Haute" confetti drop, and other multi-media activations, such as performers, DJs, and digital photo booths. More here.

Target provided each youth model with a $100 gift certificate to curate an outfit that best represents their identity. Youth will keep their outfits after the event! Many of the models recruited also receive services from local youth LGBTQ advocacy groups. Instagram influencer and stylist Danielle Cooper of She's a Gent and I will be joining the youth for their Target shopping excursion and famed queer photographer The Street Sensei (Kim Geronimo) will film and photograph our shopping experience and the show for publication on She's a Gent and dapperQ after the event.
